What does that mean? Fourteen pounds per inch? Anyway, I tried a Wolff 22-lb spring a couple of months ago at Pop Guns; it was too strong. It would'nt cycle; even with Double Tap ammo. So I put the original spring back in. Probably the 18-lb spring would be about right. Meanwhile I have written a letter to EAA about this; we'll see what they say. Even if they won't replace it, I'll buy a new slide and barrel, but there are vendors who sell these things for $190-200. I might just get a 45-ACP upper set, too. I recently fell victim to a severe case of Kimber Lust and added a new caliber to my inventory. Couldn't help it! This crack was under the ejection port, an area where a lot of guns are stop-drilled or have a slot cut to forestall cracking). That gun was a private purchase, so it had to go back to the original owner and from him to EAA, etc. Complicated but it worked out okay, all covered by the warranty.Roberta Xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956807794520627885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475829827879308509.post-55168765327628632702009-02-10T07:16:00.000-05:002009-02-10T07:16:00.000-05:00It can't hurt to try.
