From The Driver's Seat

There's something about big trucks in the rain. I wonder how many foot-pounds of energy a fully-laden rig has?

  1. 80000 pounds at 70 MPH. THAT makes major!

  3. Let's see...texasgungeek was right...an STAA Double, like that Fed Ex truck could be 80,000 pounds, and we can assume 70 mph....

    Using an online calculator I get

    K.E. = 13,104,281 foot-pounds

    THAT'S some stopping power.
