Short of splicing an x rated scene into Top Gun in place of the love scene and then loaning it to some pilot friends, I've not done any editing for a while. I have to say, that's probably for the better.

Doing a bit of editing, eh?
Just a bit.
Thirty-four years. Soon it will be time to "roll the credits".
[*sob!*]
Man, that's a long time!
I used to watch the guys at DirecTV assemble the features we'd air from the material provided by the studios.
Make the title cards, make the ratings cards, insert the breaks, blah, blah, blah.
I've got everything I need to capture, edit, and author DVD's here at home, but it's just a hobby, and man, does it suck up the time!
Took me about SIX MONTHS to ingest a dozen or so VHS tapes from my brother-in-law, edit them done, transcode them, and then author the DVD's.
I guess it was worth it, as they now have all the footage they ever shot of their kids growing up in a format they can use.
And I also gave them all my work product on a portable hard drive in case the DVD's get damaged.
