*nods* I read it. For anyone who isn't into gaming, Ubuntu is a better option than Windows, since it's free and ten times more secure from spyware and viruses. Even gamers can use it if they're willing to boot Windows as a virtual machine within Ubuntu, which is rather complicated but can be done.
Linux is getting closer each year to being user-friendly enough to replace Windows.
I like it a lot. It was hard to set up the first time, a couple of years ago, but that was mostly due to disk-read errors. Installation from a commercial disk is a breeze, and you can get a commercial installation disk at almost any newsstand, inside one of those magazines. I use Windows 2K Pro now only because of a few Windows-only programs: Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, Ham Radio Deluxe and Blackberry applications.
"If you've got to resist, your chances of being hurt are less the more lethal your weapon. If that were my wife, would I want her to have a .38 Special in her hand? Yeah." - Dr. Arthur Kellermann, Health Magazine (March/April 1994) p 61
