Yep, that IS interesting...
In Missouri you have to show proof of citizenship. I used my passport the last time I renewed my DL.
But---our State Supreme Court shot down the same requirement for voting and voter registration.
So why is it OK when getting a state DL but not when voting or registering? The legislature will try to fix that this session.
