She's not only a magnificent athlete, but is balletic and actually quite lovely to watch. I'm happy for her.
She brings the art back to the sport, that was lost in the last years.
That is the definition of what it was meant to be, not just Bach-like precision of movement, but the human body in the greatest living expression of it's potential.
I watch this stuff in goggle-eyed, slack-jawed awe.
Bobbi commented that, pound-for-pound, you're probably looking at some of the strongest athletes on the planet.
Yeah, an amazing combination of strength and grace. I think she gets more air than Baryshnikov did.
I read somewhere that, pound-for-pound, women's legs are just as powerful as men's --- but the rest of a woman's body is lighter. So the power-to-weight ratio is higher.
