Somehow this robin managed to build a nest on my back porch:
There are three eggs in it, so I'll just leave it alone until the nest is empty. But this means very little bicycling for me this spring. She will sit there still as a statue unless I approach within two feet.
Last night I sat within a yard of her while watching "Fatal Attraction" on my laptop, and for two hours she never budged. Until this came on the screen:

What did the robin do? Screeched in fright and left her nest.
