Er, Brigid, sorry but having been the recipient of a 'less than perfect landing' as a passenger in a Lynx I can attest to the fact that ladies 'do too' but I tend not not question the gender of the pilot so much as to whether I have to wring out my long-johns afterwards (it was a water landing in case you assumed something else - Oh, OK, that too :-) ).

I had an old guy one time come up to myself and my female copilot and say "I've never HEARD of girl pilots". I said "that's because we don't crash".
